Our consultants sit on funding panels (in the UK and internationally), ensuring that we remain ‘current’ in our thinking, informing our translational funding support offering. Our experience in this activity was one of the drivers behind the development of the Building University-Industry Relationships course.

KTP applications
We have strong experience supporting successful KTP applications for our UK HEI clients, with ongoing multi-year contracts specifically aimed at KTP and Innovate UK funding application support. A successful application requires the communication of complex market forecasts, IP landscapes, and exploitation strategies within strict page and word limits. We work closely with the Innovation and KTP Office leads, and the respective business and academic partners to complete competitive, successful, applications.
Innovate UK collaborative R&D applications
We have supported our HEI clients though contributions to IP and market aspects of funding calls from Innovate UK. Engaging with researchers/academics and their collaborative partners, usually working from early draft applications, then going on to complete IP landscapes, competitor analyses, and market analysis and strategy. From experience, it is the initial engagement with the application partners that requires the greatest effort.
Strategy and funding business case development
Our experienced consultants have provided HEIF and other business case strategy support for a number of our clients, as well as proposal writing for collaborative activities in the KE sector. The support can cover reviews of existing strategies – to tighten up the language and ensure that the strategies reflect the funding call, to facilitating partnerships, and running the proposal from start to finish, always closely engaged with our clients.
