Bruno has 10 years’ experience in technology commercialisation for public, private and university clients around the world, from start-ups to global organisations.
He has an academic background in Life Sciences and commercialises technologies from all sectors. His main interests are commercialising early stage research outputs, and especially innovations aligned with the social development goals that seek to improve the quality of live in developing economies.
Bruno provides commercialisation support for early stage research outputs, creating and validating business models. His expertise and day to a activities include all commercialisation activities, for example; liaising with academics/inventors and identifying inventive concepts; performing IP due diligence and developing IP strategy; identifying and engaging commercial partners, preparing business plans and financial models, and negotiation license terms.
Before joining Oxentia Bruno co-founded an innovation management company in Portugal, Triple Helix Technologies, that supports the knowledge exchange and commercialisation (KEC) from Universities and research Institutes in the Lisbon area. Before working in innovation management, Bruno spent ten years in academia.
