Leaders in Innovation Fellowships (LIF4) programme in the Philippines

Impact review (May 2018-Apr 2019)

Challenge

Oxentia was contracted by the Royal Academy of Engineering (the Academy) in 2018-2019 to conduct an impact evaluation study for the Leaders in Innovation Fellowships (LIF) programme in the Philippines.

Approach

The overall aim of this impact assessment is to identify how the LIF programme has catalysed innovation and entrepreneurship in the Philippines and demonstrate impacts in the region that can be attributed to LIF. The study included a baseline assessment of the local entrepreneurship and innovation (E&I) ecosystem, a survey of LIF participants, and interviews with selected internal and external stakeholders.

Impact

The outputs of the project were a detailed report on the findings, a brochure of case studies profiling selected participants in the programme, the delivery of a master class/ networking event whose content was informed by the findings, and the presentation of the findings at a roundtable event with key stakeholders in Manila.
